Welcome to ABPTS

The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) has certified 12,937 individuals who have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in physical therapy specialty areas.

Currently, the ABPTS offers board-certification in eight specialty areas of physical therapy: Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Clinical Electrophysiology, Geriatrics, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Sports, and Women's Health.

Application Deadlines

7/1/13 - Certification: Cardiovascular & Pulmonary, Clinical Electrophysiology, and Women's Health

7/31/13 - Certification: Geriatrics, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, and Sports

8/31/13 - Reapplication 

11/30/13 - Recertification 

Exam applicants will be notified of test results by mid June.

2013 – March 2 through March 16

2014 - March 1 through March 15

2015 – February 28 though March 14
